Establishment

Sri. J.C Diwakar Reddy the Chairman of J.C Diwakar Educational Society (Estd: 2016) started JCD Horticultural College in the Academic year 2017 with a view to provide excellence in horticulture education and extension services for sustainable development of Horticulture.
JCD Horticultural College is a Self-financed, Unaided Private Co-Education Institution established in 2017 at Juturu Village, Tadipatri (M), Anantapuramu district which is known as fruit bowl of Southern India fanned out over 100 acres of land to create a unique learning environment. JCD Horticultural College is affiliated to Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Venkatramannagudem, (West Godavari Dist), Andhra Pradesh.

Our Features

The college is setup with excellent infrastructure with advanced laboratories and believes in providing a quality and holistic education through experienced faculty.
The institute provides comfortable learning environment by means of well-established academic block with scientific laboratories, modern digitalized class rooms, computer lab, modern library with huge volume of text books, e-resources, well established auditorium, students counseling and placement cell, well established orchards, instructional farm, protected structures, ornamental garden, sophisticated boys and girls hostel for comfortable stay with all amenities. The hostels have spacious and comfortable rooms with extra guestrooms to accommodate guest/parents. There are clean mess halls in which more than 240 people can dine at a time.

Facilities

Indoor facilities for , caroms, chess and badminton and other outdoor games like football, volleyball and basketball &Cricket. In addition to the regular field trips to various places within the state as a part of educational tour, students are taken to the places of horticultural and agricultural importance respectively all over south india as well as country. The College provides transport facility from Tadipatri city for day-scholars. JCD Horticultural College provides a serene and tranquil environment to the student which helps to build their psychological strength and physical fitness of the students.

From Correspondent’s Desk

Sri T.V Janakinath Reddy is the Correspondent of JCDR Horticultural College. He is a Bachelor of Arts from Osmania University and a Law Graduate from Bangalore University. With passion for Agriculture and Horticulture he has involved himself in the activities for 20 years.

In 1996 he was one of the progressive farmers of A.P State and was sent to Israel by the State Government to study the latest technologies in Agri and Horticulture. He is an able Administrator also.

In a country where education is held in very high esteem and the teacher is equated to God, we have dedicated ourselves to impart quality education by exposing students to the right learning environment under the guidance of qualified and experienced teachers. Students are nurtured and developed carefully with qualities of hard work, discipline and moral practices in profession.

While academic excellence is our major thrust, the J.C .Diwakar Reddy Horticulture College is also devoted to prepare the students for life, prepare them to face the challenges of tomorrow and encourage them to be socially relevant. We are hence confident that our students equipped with such capabilities will emerge as valuable contributory assets to the development of the organizations they serve as well as to the nation.

From Associate Dean’s Desk

Dr. M. Chandre Gowda is leading our college from the academic desk as an Associate Dean. He has Doctoral from the renowned University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru and also rendered his services as Professor of Horticulture in GVKK, Bengaluru which is under the same university from which he pursued Doctorate. With a vast 36 years of experience in Teaching, Research, Extension and farm management he has a huge count of 73 studies as publications. He is awarded from both University and national levels and also excelled in major scientific achievements.

Associate Dean’s Message

“Welcome to JCDR Horticultural College, Tadipatri”.

JCDR Horticultural College, Tadipatri has completed its first four years and produced its first batch of Horticultural graduates. We are proud of our students with a well-planned Horticultural education given to them to build their carrier in a growing job market in the field of Horticulture. We have well experienced and dedicated faculty to teach Horticulture and allied fields of Agriculture. The college has been helping the students to realize their goals of building their carrier in the field of Horticulture. Further for all-round development of students we have extracurricular activities like NSS, Physical education, Youth festivals, celebration of National festivals, Yoga practices etc., have been included as a part of degree program. I welcome young and enthusiastic students to join our college to make use of the facilities available in the campus to mould their carrier in the field of Horticulture and to serve the farming community.
